Volunteer with us!

At SCRAPS, we could not be more grateful for our volunteers--they truly make our lifesaving work possible! Our volunteer program (PDF) supports every aspect of our shelter, from walking dogs and socializing cats to assisting with administrative tasks and facilitating special events. We would love to help you find the right volunteer opportunity for you, one that speaks to your interests and suits your schedule! To get started, please complete our online application.
If you're under 18 years of age:
To work with the animals at SCRAPS, you must be at least 18 or accompanied by a parent or guardian! But, if you're under 18, there are still plenty of ways to help animals; for example, you can:
  • Make toys or treats for the dogs and/or cats in the shelter!
  • Organize a fundraising event or donation drive, and use the funds raised to sponsor a shelter animal! 
  • ***Document the time you spend on your shelter project, and, when your project is complete, visit SCRAPS anytime we're open--we'll be happy to sign off on your completed community service hours!
